Purchases
The purchase sections sit at the bottom of the main Settings screen.
One-time Purchases
Section titled “One-time Purchases”Battle Map
Section titled “Battle Map”A single, permanent purchase that unlocks the battle map: maps, tokens, walls and lighting, line of sight and fog of war, drawing tools, markers, and the Battle Map settings screen.
Buy it once and it is yours — no renewal, nothing to keep paying. It is the only one-time purchase currently offered, and the row shows Purchased once you own it.
Restore Purchases
Section titled “Restore Purchases”Re-checks the App Store for everything your Apple Account has already bought and restores it.
Use it after reinstalling the app, on a new device, or if a purchase you own is not being recognised. It costs nothing and never charges you again. Purchases from older versions of the app are honoured here too.
Ongoing Purchases
Section titled “Ongoing Purchases”Premium Subscription
Section titled “Premium Subscription”Optional, and aimed at supporting further development. The row shows your current status; tapping it opens the subscription screen, which offers:

Both start with a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends the subscription begins and renews automatically; you can cancel any time from your Apple Account settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends to avoid being charged for the next one.

- Animated tiles, auras and areas of effect
- Weather effects (rain, snow, fog)
- Additional party movement modes
- Everything included in the Battle Map purchase
That last point is worth noting: a subscription already covers the battle map, so there is no need to buy both. If you subscribe first and later want to keep the map permanently, buy the Battle Map purchase — it survives the subscription lapsing, where the premium-only features do not.
A subscription is the only purchase that can end. If it lapses, the premium-only features become unavailable again; nothing you created is lost, and anything you own outright stays yours.
Additional Support

Section titled “Tip Jar”Four one-off tips — Small, Medium, Large and Huge — for anyone who wants to support the app beyond what they have already paid.
Tips unlock nothing. They are purely a thank-you, and they can be given as often as you like.
- Prices are shown in your local currency and are set by the App Store. A row showing no price yet is still loading; Not available means the store could not be reached or purchases are restricted on the device.
- Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to the device — use Restore Purchases on your other devices.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Encounter+. Use reportaproblem.apple.com.
